Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 21 weeks
Size of baby:  11 inches long. weight according to ultrasound 14 oz!

Cravings: baby carrots and humus (YUM!)
Gender: It's a BOY!
Movement: So much! he's even woken me up from his movement! completely different form Rome.
How's momma: Migraines :( Ice ice ice has been my saving!
Best Moment this week:Getting to see the ultrasound that detailed this little guy.  Everything is healthy and growing perfectly!
What I am looking forward to: Ty's work is having a Naturals party next Friday.  It'll be fun to get to see his Welch's coworkers again!
Roman:  Talking in sentences which still blows us away :) He is so smart and funny! His current favorite shows are Super Why and Barney.  We watch more barney then I care to admit; however, I think I owe these two shows some gratitude because Rome is constantly identifying letters and shapes and colors. Today with his bath crayons he drew the letter "f", "d" and "c".  and then called me in to show me.  Its fun to see him learning!

Golfing with daddy

A couple weeks ago, the weather was super nice around night night time- Ty took Rome out to hit some golf balls.  He LOVED watching daddy and participating.  He's been hitting the "folf ball" nonstop ever since!

4th of July

For the 4th of July we went to our church's annual firework watching party.  In Siloam. they shoot off the fireworks at the airport.  We all set our chairs up at the Butler's house and watch the fireworks.  We had gone to a firework show earlier in the season and Rome was terrified.  This time he was ecstatic to see them. He was yelling with excitement with EVERY firework. It was pretty funny.

18 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 18 weeks
Size of baby:  6 inches long
Maternity Clothes: Yes!
Cravings
Gender: It's a BOY!
Movement: amazing! I can feel him out the outside kicking around 10-11 pm each night (for a WHOLE week now!) Last week TY felt him kick too!
How's momma: Good news, no migraines! Feeling good! I can't tell you how encouraging so many people have been this past week. Growing as fast as I am is hard on me.  I didn't struggle with gaining weight with Roman (maybe its because it wasn't this fast!). I had a friend recently say that it's incredible how we destroy out bodies for these precious babies.   I loved how she put that. It's so true- someone else told me this is part of the whole curse of Eve. Not just the pain in labor, but the difficulty during pregnancy. This gave me hope that i'm not the only one that struggles with this!
Best Moment this week: Having Shelby here.
What I miss:
What I am looking forward to: 4th of July.  Ty gets the day off and we got to be home and then go to the church's annual party.
Roman: He's added thanking Jesus for the baby when he prays.

Swansons in Siloam

Last week I was given the amazing gift of having my sister and her daughter come spend a few days with us.  Dad brought Shelby and Sloane down so that she could spend some of her summer break with me.  I can't tell you how much needed and wonderful that was.

What did we do? when you look at it, not much.  But there is just SOMETHING about spending a normal day with the best friend of your childhood (and adulthood!).  It was so special just being mom's with Shelby.  It was like playing house- only with our REAL kiddos.  So So special.

Monday/Tuesday we spent time at the house- we went on a five mile walk (in 100* weather- CRAZY us!) Laid out and let the kids swim.

Wednesday we took the kids to Jump Zone in Bentonville, went to Chick-fil-A for lunch, and then wrapped up the afternoon shopping.

Thursday we went to gymnastics to play, went to the gym to do a cycle workout, and then took naps in the afternoon. Shelby watched Rome so Ty and I could go on a date- SPECIAL!

Mike got here late Thursday night and it was adorable to see how happy Sloane was to see her daddy!

Friday we spent the day swimming and playing outside.  Mike and Shel watched Rome so I could run and do some errands.

Saturday we went to crystal bridges and out to Ruth's Chris for dinner.

How do you get through Ruth's Chris dinner with kids? SUPER WHY!

Sunday was early service and then Ty went with Mike and Shelby to Kansas City to meet up with dad (post on that later!)
