July Random

During July we did a lot of fun things.  We went swimming, spent many days at the library, had a visit from the NE crew, put many miles on the stroller,  we had sickness, continued training for running, and definitely stayed busy!

Welchs Naturals night

The Friday before church camp we went to Welch family night at the Naturals.

As always, rome was excited to see baseball hit!

Ty and Rome did the baseball pitch- and "clearly" it was broken because rome threw 43 mph and Ty only threw 59mph. Or so Tyler says. (HA!)

Its always fun to get together with Tyler's office and their families.  We are blessed to be part of such an amazing group of people.

Church Youth Camp

Last weekend we went to church camp for the Saturday and Sunday. It was in Ozone Arkansas about 3 hours away.

It was extremely secluded with no phone or internet service.  I told Roman that meant no netflix and he was shocked that there was no curious George or Daniel Tiger to accompany us :)

We got to camp saturday morning and hung out with the kids during some free time.  Then we did lunch and the afternoon game.

The boys and I stayed in a room together that had the AC pumping! it was like a little hotel room- So grateful! The day went by fast- The boys had fun just being with all of the great kids from our church.

A highlight was this beautiful lake that the camp had.  There's something about letting boys throw rocks into water. It was the first thing Rome wanted to do.

Gray's first taste of a blue snow cone.
 Throwing rocks

 Happy baby!
 Good of Rome
 Good of Gray

The rest of the weekend was spent with the other staff kiddos.  We played outside mostly.  More time at the Lake throwing rocks and playing with the camps putt putt course.

We had an extra treat Sunday afternoon.  We drove through Alma to get home and we were able to connect one of friends from college- Adam.  We were able to meet his daughter and to get to know his wife Shiloh a little better.  It was a fun quick visit but we were so glad we were able to get together!

We got home that night and the boys were tired! Ty was gracious and watched them so I could go get my long run in.

What a busy weekend!

Best Buds

God knew what he was doing when he gave us another boy.   I am so captivated by the buddies that my boys are becoming.  I believe that is why Gray is speeding quickly through crawling and gonna be walking (or running!) before we know it.  He just LOVES his brother.

This morning, I heard the boys "talking" in the man cave while watching Romes morning show.
Roman said, "Baby,  I love you Sooooo stinkin much." A. DOR. A. BLE!

These pics are just from the last week.  I can see their brother bond grow even through their daily playing.

I am blessed.

New Bike

Roman has been begging us for a bike- We went backwards and bought him a helmet a few weeks ago because of the tornados.  We recently tried out a few bikes at walmart and I was surprised to see how well he did.  The day of the 4th we woke up to roman having found the bike hidden under a blanket.  His reaction was priceless.  We were out- 6:30 am riding that bike.

4th of July

This fourth of July Ty worked and the boys and I had a relaxing day at home.  We played outside in our little pool and all took naps at the same time- glorious!

Ty came home around 4 and we had a quick photoshoot.  I was able to find our 4th pics from the past few years- it was fun to see how our family has changed!

Ty went to help Lucas hand our waters for his campaign and we went over to the Butlers for our church's 4th party.  As always, Rome was quite the entertainer while watching the fireworks :)

After the party, we went back to our house where our friends Dave and Ariane came over and we did fireworks with Roman till late.

He told us around midnight (how was he still awake!) that he was starving so he sleepily ate some noodles.

Gray started teething through all this- poor kid was a champ- he was fevering and his nose was running but he did amazing through all the activity.

Dave and Ariane came over the next night and we did some more fireworks.  Romans favorite: the ROMAN candle and yes, He got to do that and bottle rockets by himself.  One of the funniest memories from the night was him being "fireman sam" he had his waterguns full and anytime there was a little fire he sprinted out to the fire and put it out with his guns.  What a fun time :)
