My Birthday

There's nothing like waking up on a Saturday morning and realizing that you are alone in the bed. (when you're a mom :)

Waking up on your own- not having a baby smacking your face, a baby talking to you, or waking up because you have a really foul smell inches from your nose is indescribable.

This was how my Saturday (and my bday!) began. The door was shut, the heat was on, and I smelled coffee. YUM! I came out of bed and found the house CLEAN and Rome playing with daddy in the man cave!

What an amazing husband I have!

The rest of the day sped fast- we watched a movie that I had been wanting to see for awhile and then went to Walmart to find Halloween costumes for 90% off! Woo hoo!! We came home and made lunch/supper and spent the rest of the night just relaxing after Ty watched Rome so I could work out a bit.

I told Ty that what I reallllllllly wanted for my bday was to be able to take some fall pics. So Sunday after church- that's what we did :) The leaves aren't as amazing as they usually are :( but we still got some fun pics!

walking update:

He's standing anywhere and everywhere- he doesn't hang on to things unless he's walking- he'll walk the border of the room so that he can hang onto furniture or the wall. He'll take a step or two and then just fall. It's amazing that just 2 months ago he wasn't even crawling yet!

our date

Tyler and I went on a date on Saturday night... JUST the two of us!

Cherissa, Ty's sis, was brave enough to watch Roman for the night so that we could go to Fayetteville.

We dropped Roman off at about 6:30 and he was excited to see his aunt and cousin's. Tyler teased me because Roman didn't really cry when we left but as soon as we were in the car, I burst into tears. it's gonna be a long life ahead if i'm already crying to leave him with his amazing aunt for a few hours! ha!

My crying didn't last long (thanks to Tyler's teasing) and we got to our dinner destination about 45 min later. We went to Logans (we had a great halloween coupon!) and ate a yummy dinner.

During our dinner we got a great text from Rissa with this pic that showed Rome having a GREAT time playing!

She even said she just got him to sleep - IN the pack a play (a task i still have yet to master! wooo hooo!! GO Aunt Rissa!!)

Tyler took me to Target after to shop without having to hold Roman- it was a new experience! HA!

We finished the night with going to Dickson street and stopping at Bordino's for desert. We walked in only to find them full and not having any openings for the rest of the night- we decided that we'd walk around for awhile and just people watch...

We got back to Rissa's around 10:30 to find Roman super tired but super glad to see us (melts this momma's heart!)

We had a WONDERFUL night!

Halloween

Friday we went trick or treating down town with Cherissa, Max, and Maggie. Roman was a LION! so so so cute!

I had a singlet that I had gotten when Rome was really little and it's now starting to fit him a bit better. I'm sure he'd be a wrestler for halloween if we were in NE :)

On actual Halloween, we went to gma and gpa's and then the church halloween party. we finished with walmart and roman had his first sucker. oh. my. goodness. he LOVED it! he cried and cried and cried when we took it away from him. Ty and I had a good laugh :)

puppies

Last Saturday we wen to our good friends Dustin and Hilary Butler's house to watch the Razorback game. While we were there, we went outside to see their puppies that their dog had about 8 weeks ago. At one time there were nine, they've been giving them away and there are now only two. It was so fun to show them to Roman. They kept licking and licking him. It was cute, but he got sick of it quick!
