Grape Festival (way overdo!)

The beginning of August, the annual grapefestival took place in tontitown.  We went over to it for the evening, and had a ball watching Roman do a few rides. It was the first time that he's ever done them and he wasn't scared at all.  (BRAVE boy!) It was also the beginning of some cool weather for NWA!

Instead of eating the super un healthy (but ever so yummy!) carnival food we went over to Rib Crib for some delicious BBQ!

30 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 30 weeks
Size of baby:  16 in long and a little over 3 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Yes! dresses and Ty's bball shorts are amazing!
Cravings: smoothies- (my blender has been being repaired and finally came in! I've had a smoothie for dinner a few nights this week and it has been wonderful.
Gender: It's a BOY!! (Grayson Dees)
Movement: constant- i'm trying to video it- he's still breech- long ways on my belly- so when i rest he moves on both my sides and I can see his feet/head pop out- a little creepy but fun to see him moving!
How's momma: doing good! no migraines this week- i think the cooler weather has been helpful.
Best Moment this week Getting my blender was a definite highlight! It was also fun to get to see Kerwin and Lois this weekend- they came in just for a couple days but it was fun to get to catch up!
What I am looking forward to:  Another DR appointment this week! We'll do an ultrasound to see if he's still breech.  (everyone pray that we'll get to see his sweet face too!)
Roman: He's talking so much! He's started saying "love you baby brother" to my tummy- The other thing he did was following a sigh/yawn from me he said sweetly, "tired, mommy?" It was precious!

I'm really needing to get a move on getting some things ready for baby Gray.  It's hard to get motivated! It's also been really hard to keep exercising- I've been so good all pregnancy- I do 45 min of weights/stretching every day and I try to do at least 45 min of cardio.  I've kept up with the weights and stretching but the cardio is hard- he's pushing up on my tummy and the light contractions happen every time i do cardio.  (yes shelby- my heard rate is staying under 140 bpm :) I talked to my DR and he said that those kind of contractions are nothing to worry about- so i'm ok :)

The other thing that has started is the heartburn- YUCK! i started some prilosec this week and i think it's been helping quite a bit.

29 weeks (and a NAME!)

Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 29 weeks
Size of baby:  17 inches and 3 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Yes!
Cravings: not too much- i'm getting so full fast.  i barely eat anything and the heartburn and fullness kicks in
Gender: It's a BOY!!
Movement: Definitely! He's moving all around and I'm getting to be able to track his movement across his belly.
How's momma: loving the little bit cooler weather! feeling very pregnant. I didn't pass the first glucose test but fortunately passed the second!
Best Moment this week Going to Tulsa for Friday/Saturday for Tyler's birthday.  It was fun to get to spend some relaxing time with Ty and Rome at the hotel :)
What I am looking forward to: MORE cooler weather!
Roman: He's just so big! he's my helper and will bring up conversations about the baby. He's curious and he's sweet- He went with me to the Glucose tests and was so worried about me when they had to poke my finger.  He asked me if it was hurt and when i said yes, he put his hand on my knee and said "so sorry, mommy." it was precious.

I think we finally figured out our name!! without further adieu....

we're gonna name this new little DEES boy,

GRAYSON!!

Most likely he'll go by Gray. Rome is quick to call him baby Gray.  It's pretty cute. :)

Babymoon

Last Wednesday Tyler and I left bright and early for our BABYMOON!!  It was a combination of celebrations-  Ty finishing grad school/ our 5 year anniversary/and an upcoming baby being born :)

We went to Paradise Island in the Bahamas.  I can't even describe how wonderful it was getting to have Tyler all to myself for 4 days.  Cherissa was amazing to keep Roman for us so we could go.  It was hard for me to leave him but it was great to have someone we trusted watching him!

This was my first time flying (I flew when I was 2 but def didn't remember it :)

We rented a car and was able to do our own site seeing- gas was $5.50/gal!!

We had to get used to driving on the left side of the road- it was so confusing!!
Beautiful ocean!

We stayed at the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island
View from out room

We went to a grocery store to get some snacks and pop.  The carryout boys were in high school and Ty made a fun connection with them and bball.

Eveything was so expensive!! Juice was almost 10$!
Baby carrots were 3$, pop tarts, chips and crackers were around 7$ a pack!

Inside of the hotel
Laying out on the beach!

Baby belly :)

The drivers were crazy! we had to pay a lot of attention! no signaling- people just drove where they needed to go and looked afterward.
There were a bunch of different aquariums- It was fun to see all the different fish.

Paradise Isalnd was about 20 miles long and 4 miles wide.  The resort was gigantic- This is in front of the hotel. We figured we walked 5-7 miles a day just going from place to place.

Still at the resort- at the marina portion

Shuffleboard at sunset

Every night Ty and I went to the 10:00 movie in the resorts theater.  It was a free movie and we LOVED getting to go see some fun films :)
The last day we did some souvenir shopping around Nassau.

The days flew by! We had only limited internet and turned our phones off.  It was fun figuring out what to do each day- I loved being with Tyler.  Even if we were sitting at the beach or in our rooms taking a nap- it was fun to just be together!
